Everline Mugenya
Everline Mugenya is a dynamic Engineer in Training (EIT), graduate researcher, and global leader passionate about resilience, innovation, and uplifting women. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University, she also serves as a research assistant focusing on advanced railway signalling systems.
Her career spans telecommunications, road safety, and railway engineering, with a specialty in signalling and telecommunication systems.
Everline’s work has earned international recognition—she was named one of the Top 100 Global Leaders of Tomorrow at the 54th St. Gallen Symposium in Switzerland and was a finalist in the 2025 Draper Data Science Competition in Texas. She also received the Best Leadership Award from the Black Student Association Committee at TMU for her outstanding community service and commitment to excellence.
Beyond her technical expertise, Everline is deeply committed to empowering women. She is an active member of Soroptimist International, where she has organized events that inspire young women in Toronto, and currently serves as the President-Elect of the Soroptimist Milimani Club in Nairobi.
