About Nada

Compassionate Culturally Responsive Therapy for Women Navigating Complexity

Nada Johnson, MSW, RSW is a therapist supporting high-achieving racialized and Black women who are navigating burnout, workplace stress, family pressure, trauma, and identity-related challenges.

Her work centers women who are capable and accomplished, yet emotionally exhausted from carrying professional responsibility, navigating systemic inequities, and holding complex family roles — often all at once.

A Space Where You Don’t Have to Explain Yourself:

For nearly a decade, Nada has supported women facing racialized stress, workplace inequities, family conflict, major life transitions, and the long-term impact of trauma.

She offers a warm, culturally aware space where clients can slow down, make sense of their experiences, and reconnect with clarity, confidence, and emotional steadiness — without having to minimize or justify what they’ve been carrying.

How Nada Works:

Nada’s approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative. She integrates clinical skill with deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

Therapy with Nada focuses on helping women:

  • Reduce burnout and emotional overload

  • Strengthen boundaries at work and within family relationships

  • Process racialized or workplace-related stress and trauma

  • Rebuild trust in themselves

  • Move through life transitions with greater clarity and groundedness

Nada holds a Master of Social Work and is a Registered Social Worker in Ontario. Her work is informed by training in trauma-informed care, family mediation, and culturally responsive practice.

A Note on Other Work:

In addition to individual therapy, Nada also offers family mediation and organizational consulting through separate services. Details about these offerings can be found on their respective pages here.

Clients often describe Nada as compassionate, direct, and thoughtful — someone who can hold space for difficult conversations while remaining grounded and practical.

At the core of her work is a steady belief that healing and meaningful change are possible, even when the path forward feels uncertain.
