Meet Lauren Carson
Lauren Carson is a Toronto-based country artist, educator, and operations leader with a deep passion for creativity, community, and women’s empowerment. She currently leads Global Campus Operations at Bounce, where she oversees a North America-wide student ambassador program focused on leadership, personal development, and meaningful campus engagement. Lauren also serves on the board of Soroptimist International Toronto, working to advance educational opportunities for women and girls.
Alongside her professional work, Lauren is quickly becoming a standout voice in Canada’s modern country music scene. With performances at NXNE, Spring Reverb, and features on SiriusXM and CMAOntario’s Rising Country Stars, her music explores healing, grief, growth, and reclaiming agency. During the pandemic, songwriting became a lifeline, and her debut EP Earl Street reflects a journey of emotional honesty and post-traumatic growth.
🎧 In this episode of Monthly Wednesdays With Nada, Lauren shares how music became her healing outlet, how working in male-dominated fields shaped her understanding of womanhood, and why learning to say no is an act of self-trust. She speaks openly about boundaries, burnout, and the quiet strength of honouring your emotions, even when the world expects you to harden.
Lauren reminds us that community matters, whether you’re finding your people through music, mentorship, or shared identity, and that womanhood can be both powerful and tender.
“Womanhood is this beautiful balance of intensity and softness.”
